Esperanza Salgado

Esperanza A. Salgado (Espie), age 66, a loving wife, dedicated mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully to the Lord on Tuesday, July 28, 2020. Esperanza was devoted to her faith, enjoyed traveling with her husband and watching her four grandchildren grow.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Tony Salgado; her children, Robert and his wife, Leah, Sarah Romero and her husband, Carl, and Michelle Ritter and her husband, Brian; her grandchildren, Davianna, Daniella, Sophia and Joaquin Romero. She is also survived by her sisters, Maria Theresa Ayala, and Rosario Ortiz; and her brother, Maximiliano Ayala. Espie also leaves many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Esperanza was preceded in death by her father, Jesus Caustrita Ayala; and mother, Esperanza Hernandez Ayala; her brothers, Melchor, Victoriano, Juventino, Jesus, Fernando, and Liborio; and her sisters, Cenorina, and Gloria.

A private Rosary will be recited by Gloria and Deacon Tom Perez on Friday, July 31, 2020. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Msgr. Lambert Luna on Saturday, August 1, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande, 5901 St. Josephs Dr. NW. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE.
