Ernest Temple Love, III

Ernest Temple Love III, 63, beloved Brother and Uncle was called to his eternal resting place on June 2, 2024 with family by his side. He was born on July 11, 1960 in Albuquerque, NM, born to Ernest and Barbara Love. He is survived by his sister Suzanne Marquez; brother Craig Love; brother-in-law Ron Marquez; sister-in-law Barbara Love; nephews Jason Marquez, Mercer Love, and Brendan Love; nieces Julia Marquez and Catherine Love.

Also known to most as Ernie and to his sister as "Pookie", Ernie was an amazingly positive, happy, and hardworking person. He loved helping others and cracking jokes with his crazy sense of humor. He was also a gentle soul that everyone trusted.

As a child Ernie moved with his family to Anchorage, Alaska, and graduated from Bartlett High School in 1978, and continuing to graduate from Colorado State University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Business. He was instrumental in the family vending business called State Vending and later worked with Home Depot. Ernie returned to Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 2017 and enjoyed the companionship of family, friends, and horses. He loved hiking, bowling, traveling, animals, and working on projects around his home as well.

Ernie will be missed greatly. Our heart will always have an "Ernie-Shaped" hole but we will be comforted with many wonderful memories. A Celebration of Life will be held on his birthday July 11th.
