Emma B. Zamora, age 94, closed the final chapter to a beautiful life on Saturday, July 30, 2016 in her home in Albuquerque, NM. She leaves behind a legacy shaped by her kind heart and tenacious spirit.
She was an accomplished teacher, avid bowler, community development supporter, and devoted servant to her faith. She will be remembered as a strong role model who touched countless lives by demonstrating daily what it meant to be a caring, hardworking, trailblazer who proved femininity and strength were not mutually exclusive. She exemplified how a woman could maintain a career and raise a family while bettering the community through charitable works. Above all, she showed how beautiful a life full of love could be.
Left to honor Emma are her children, Paul (wife Debbie), and Becky (husband Mike); grandchildren, Beth, Lauren, Christina, Matthew and Carlos; many cherished nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. She will join her husband, Estevan and their daughter, Addie in heaven.
A Rosary will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016, 6:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 1860 Griegos Rd NW. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, 9:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment will follow on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
