Emma A. (Alvarez) Sanchez

Emma A. Sanchez, 78 years old, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Emma was a remarkable woman who was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who was loved by so many people.

Emma is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alex V. Sanchez; her father, Jose Cruz Alvarez; mother, Emiteria Salinas; and brothers, Ramon and Lupe Alvarez. Emma is survived by her children, Sylvia Dean and husband Ray, Frank Sanchez, Yolanda Alley and husband Peter; grandchildren, Amanda Marquez, Audrey Crespin, Jeremy Marquez, Alexander Glover and Nichole Glover. Emma has five great-grandchildren. Emma is survived by her siblings, Felipe Alvarez, Rafaela Lopez, Socorro Gomez, Felicitas Montes, Maria Inez Ferrales. Emma also leaves a very large family and friends. Pallbearers will be Jose Alvarez, Rito Montes, David Carter, Nichole Glover, Jeremy Marquez, and Ray Dean.

A Viewing will be Tuesday, September 18, 2018, 4:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Wyoming with a Rosary to follow promptly at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be held the next morning, Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 2532 Vermont St. NE, with Interment to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m.
