Elizabeth Anne Werling

Elizabeth "Beth" Anne Werling, age 43, our beloved wife, mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, aunt, and friend passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023. She was born in Albuquerque, NM on April 16, 1980, the youngest child of Pamela Small and Randy Brown. She graduated from Sandia High School in Albuquerque, NM in 1998. Beth married her husband, Kevin on September 22, 2007, with whom she had her two children, Dylan in 2005 and Raven in 2009. Beth worked as a Registered Nurse at Presbyterian Women's Clinic after earning her degree in her 30s. A loving mother and wife to her children and husband, she worked hard as a nurse to provide for her family. Her passion was for working with newborns and new and expecting mothers.

Beth's friends were incredibly important to her. She was a great listener, you always knew she was on your side, and she would make you laugh at least once before the conversation was over. Her friends describe her as loyal, altruistic, and witty or "waggish." She had a strong sense of justice and would take her words to action in the streets to protest injustices. Beth enjoyed spending time laughing at good and bad shows and movies with her husband and attending her children's events. She loved music and musicals-particularly vocal arrangements sung by beautiful vocalists-and singing along with them wherever she was. She loved animals and always had a cat or dog or some combination of the two in her family's home. She loved playing with the family's cat, Scrambles, and dog, Baxter.

Beth is survived by her husband, Kevin Werling; son, Dylan Werling, and daughter, Raven Werling of Albuquerque, NM; mother, Pamela Small and her husband, David Small of Castle Rock, CO; sister, Jennie Bennett; brother-in-law, Marty Bennett; nephews, Jackson Bennett and Lucas Bennett, and niece, Emily Bennett of Castle Rock, CO; and brother-in-law, Nathan Peterson, and niece, Amelia Peterson of Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her father, Randy Lee Brown and sister-in-law, Lorene "Lori" Michelle Peterson both of Albuquerque, NM.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., FRENCH - Lomas. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Beth's name to New Mexico Voices for Children, https://www.nmvoices.org/donatenow.
