Elizabeth Ann Johnson

Elizabeth Ann (Fry) Johnson, age 75, passed away Friday, April 25, 2025, in Albuquerque, NM, after a short illness. Betty Ann, as she was known, was born and raised in Wilmington, DE, where she lived for 67 years before moving to New Mexico.

She attended Corpus Christi Elementary School in Elsmere, DE, her hometown, and graduated from H.C. Conrad High School. She worked for the DuPont Company and retired after 32 years.

Betty Ann was preceded in death by her parents, James Sr. and Louise Fry and nephews, Austin and Michael Fry. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Richard; brothers, James K. Fry, Jr. (Vicki), Spencer Fry (Catherine); sisters, Mary Louise Brady (Martin), Jacqueline Fry Brewer (Thomas), Renee Kapa (Thomas); brother-in-law, Thomas Johnson (Eva); sister-in-law, Cynthia Houlihan (John), and many nieces and nephews.

Betty Ann will always be remembered for her fierce dedication and love for her family.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at the FRENCH - Westside Chapel. The burial will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date.
