It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Eli Weiss, 29, a man of boundless love and energy. Eli was born July 24th, 1996 in Scottsdale, AZ and transitioned out of this life on April 18th, 2026 at home in Albuquerque, NM. Through his journey, he has touched countless lives and gave everyone the grace and love to experience a more open heart and mind.

From a young age, Eli was known for his quick mind, deep curiosity, informed wit, and quiet kindness. If anyone ever had the pleasure to experience one of his hugs, they would know what it felt life to be embraced in full love and warmth. Eli was mystified by experiencing the world in it's raw form and elated by its simplicitiesHe was the living definition of what it means to stop and smell the flowers.

Some of the best memories his loved ones cherish include; spontaneous road trips to explore nature or new places, enjoying his home-cooked meals that were always delicious and truly made with love, singing along to songs and dancing in the most free-spirited way possible, and all the simple times of enjoying Eli's company with the humor and joy he would bring to everyone around.

Eli had a strong passion for cooking and feeding those he loved and cared about. His other passions included; hiking, being out in nature, listening to music, soaking in hot springs, spending time with friends and family as well as his dog, Thor. Eli was someone who would always tell you like it was and wouldn't hold anything back. He was a kind hearted, creative and gentle soul who brought warmth to everyone he met. Though his battles were immense, his spirit was always brighter than his struggles.

He is survived by his loving parents, Lisa Weiss and Matthew Weiss; his cherished siblings, Natalie Candelaria (Spouse: Juan Candelaria), Echo Weiss, and Nathaniel Weiss; and a community of friends who loved him for exactly who he was. He is also survived by his grandparents; Alfred Weiss, Robin Roberts, Mark Williams, and Sandra Williams as well as numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by; his grandmother, Sandra Weiss; his uncle, Phil Williams; as well as his great grandparents, Naomi and Jerry Williams, Sue and Ken Roberts,

In honor of Eli's memory, memorial donations may be made to the Transgender Resource Center of New Mexico: https://tgrcnm.org/donate -- supporting those who continue to fight for their place in this world
