Elena E. Lucero (Romero)

Elena E. Lucero (Romero), age 94, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Elena was the youngest of 13 children, born, March 16, 1930, to Elosia (Lopez) and Alfredo Romero in Las Vegas, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ramon J. Lucero, February 11, 2008.

She is survived by her two sons, Albert (Loretta) and Orlando Lucero. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. She was the co-founder of Superior Building Maintenance Inc. As a homemaker, she loved to bake and cook. Her loved ones will miss her cakes and pies. Elena was a devoted Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church.

Elena was known for her gracious personality and love for all people. She was also genuine and greatly respected by all that knew her. Most of all she was sincerely a kind, gentle, loving, and giving person. A truly exceptional person that will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

A Rosary will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 5:30 p.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming Chapel. The Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Annunciation Parish, 2621 Vermont Street NE - Albuquerque, NM 87110.
