Edward (Eddie) also called Lalo by his family and close friends was born in Roswell, NM on July 17, 1931. He was raised there on "the farm" where he later met and married Consuelo (Connie) Gomez in 1951 where they raised two sons and eventually moved to Albuquerque in 1967.
He retired from Kirtland AFB working in the Contract Management Division within the civil sector for over 30 years.
Edward was a faithful servant of God devoting his life in service as a deacon in the church, beginning in Roswell at Calvario Spanish Baptist Church and then First Bilingual Baptist Church. He raised his family in that spirit and devotion to God. He and Connie were very active in the state Spanish Baptist Convention which they attended regularly as well as Evangelism conferences and events.
Edward enjoyed sports, especially attending years of Lobo football and basketball games. His main passion though, was playing golf, usually at UNM South golf course. He had regular tee times with his brothers-in-law and several friends that enjoyed playing with him.
Besides his faith, family, was most important to him. Being with family for any reason, brought joy to him, holidays, birthdays, celebrations of any kind was perfect cause to be with family. His love for family will be missed but truly not forgotten.
He will now be rejoicing with his heavenly family.
