Edward was born to William and Emily Brennan on August 2nd, 1934, in Queens, New York. It is with great sadness that our family announces his passing. At 90 years old, he went to meet the Lord on July 1st of 2025. Ed married the love of his life, Carol James, on January 11th, 1961, and spent 63 beautiful years with her. A loving father of four children, Ed was full of devotion and love. He was a selfless man who devoted his life to giving everything for his family and loved ones, never asking for anything in return.
Edward had a multitude of jobs as a young boy, including being a ball boy for the Yankees during the period of Joe DiMaggio and Yogi Berra, and a shoe polisher at the Waldorf Hotel. He entered military service in December 1951, first as a heavy equipment operator and then as a vehicle technician. He served during the Korean and Vietnam wars, retiring from the Air Force in December 1971. He then worked in the corporate world at Galles Chevrolet and returned to civil service in fleet maintenance until his full retirement. There was nothing he couldn't fix.
As a father and husband, his unwavering faith, devotion, love, and humor were endless. He knew hardship well and never let that shake him or his faith in the Lord. He shone through every endeavor, making life easier for all he encountered, and helping family, friends, and neighbors in any way he could. He was full of laughter and joy, making any experience wonderful. He always lived for the day.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol James, and survived by his sister-in-law, Barbara A. James, his daughters and their spouses: Kelly and John Frey, Kathlyn and Max Graham, Karyn and Gary Sullivan, and his son and wife, Edward and Amanda Brennan. Grandchildren: Conor Frey, Carol Frey, Shanna Graham, Joseph Graham, Andrea Parker and spouse Thomas Parker, Tracy Skipp, Brennan Skipp, Megan Swartz and spouse Levi Swartz, Cairstin Brennan, and Gwynaeth Brennan. His great-grandchildren: Isaiah Orñelas, Carlitos Lasiloo, Ezekiel Lasiloo, Grayson Chavez, Lochlann Skipp, Benjamin Skipp, Alexander Skipp, Adalynn Skipp, Theodore Skipp, and Onyx Swartz, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was our greatest hero and will be missed dearly.
