Edith Abrego

Edith Abrego passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, at the age of 97. She was a remarkable woman whose strength, courage, and unwavering positivity left a lasting mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Although she did not have children of her own, Tía Edita opened her heart to many and lovingly treated countless nieces, nephews, and friends as her own children and grandchildren. To many, she was more than an aunt - she was a second mother and, for some, even a grandmother in every sense that mattered.

She was known for her strong character - a little terca in the most lovable way - and for her sharp wit and sarcastic humor that could make anyone laugh. She was a true lady: brave, resilient, and endlessly generous. Edith gave selflessly to others, always ready to help without expecting anything in return.

We will deeply miss her laughter, her wisdom, her warm presence, and the love she gave so freely. Her memory lives on in the many lives she touched, in the stories we will continue to share, and in the hearts of all who loved her.
