Dorothy Mae Parrish

Dorothy Mae Parrish, 92, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on June 12th, 2025. She was born in Perry, Missouri on October 26, 1932. She married Leon Parrish on April 27, 1952 and they had 4 children. Dorothy was actively involved in Christian Womens' Fellowship, a leader of Campfire Girls, a homemaker, seamstress, and artist. She served in her church, Sombra Del Monte, alongside Leon for over 50 years. Dorothy was a loving, generous person who opened their home to anyone in need, and served and gave to others throughout her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, and Mema, and gave her all for her family. She supported Leon throughout his life and many accomplishments. She was strong, a peacemaker, dignified, wise, and faithful, laughed a lot, and loved to have fun. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, John and Nettie Armstrong, her brothers, JC, Clayton, and Carl Armstrong, and her husband of 73 years, Leon Parrish. She is survived by her 4 children: Brenda Parrish, Janice Parrish, Ron Parrish, and Steve Parrish (Sandy), her 3 grandchildren: Jennifer Parrish Mattingly, Joshua Parrish (Kennedy), and Lauren New (Wesley), and her 4 great-grandchildren: Conrad Parrish, Brooks Parrish, Carson New, and Judah New. Dorothy was a loyal Christian and is now reunited with her family in heaven.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, 6/24 at 10am at FRENCH-Wyoming, with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
