Dorothy Smith

Dorothy Lou Smith, age 89, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Dorothy was born on November 26, 1935, in Enid, Oklahoma, to William and Florence White. She attended Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City, where she met the love of her life, Bobbie G. Smith. The two were inseparable from the start and went on to share 72 beautiful years of marriage together.

Dorothy was a devout Christian whose faith guided every part of her life. Her gentle spirit, selflessness and compassion touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She brought warmth, grace and kindness wherever she went, and her peaceful presence brought comfort to family and friends alike.

She loved to travel and embark on countless adventures with those she cherished most. Dorothy also found joy in simple pleasures- shopping, cooking and baking for her loved ones. Above all, she was an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother , great grandmother and friend whose love and devotion left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, William and Florence White; her son Phillip Smith; and her sisters Mary White and Francis Westmoreland. She is survived by her devoted husband Bobbie G. Smith; her sons David Smith and Bobby Smith; her grandchildren Matthew and wife Crystal Smith, Olivia Smith, Shannon Smith and William Smith; her great-grandson, Everett Smith; and her niece Linda Murray.

Dorothy's life was a testament to faith, love, and kindness. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved her.
