Donnamarie Boyer, a vibrant soul born on October 17, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away on June 13, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was surrounded by family in her home and left us peacefully. A loyal daughter, protective sister, devoted wife, fun aunty, nurturing mother and grandmother, and lifelong friend - Donnamarie's legacy will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Donnamarie leaves behind her beloved spouse, David, her cherished children, Manny, Gigi, Donna, Angelica, Walter, Logan, Andre and Antonio, many grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as her furry babies Nico, Luna and Coco. As we remember her remarkable journey, we celebrate a life lived fully, a life that will forever bloom in the memories and stories of those that she loved. She will be remembered not just for her achievements but for the warmth and light she provided to others.

A dedicated foster parent and family researcher with a heart for children, Donnamarie opened her home to countless kids, adopting children late in life after raising her own biological children and fostering hundreds of children along the way. Her motherly nature extended beyond family; she was an advocate for animals and a champion for those who could not voice their struggles. Donnamarie's remarkable strength shone through her battle with COPD, which she faced with unmatched tenacity and resilience, highlighting her truest strength and determination. Donnamarie, raised in Puerto Rico, had a spirit as rich and colorful as her heritage, embracing life with a passion that inspired everyone around her. In her free time, she found joy in cooking, decorating, singing, dancing and gardening. A true extrovert at heart, Donnamarie was known for her ability to make friends wherever she went. Her monumental life was painted with travel, laughter, and spirited dances, a true "dancing queen" with life radiating from her eyes.

If she was here, she would squeeze your butt and tell you to stop crying, it's time to party. Her journey has not ended; it continues through the many lives she has impacted. She is watching and protecting all of us from heaven, alongside all her lost loved ones, and the holy spirit. Rest in peace, beloved Donnamarie. Your spirit dances on in the hearts you filled with love.
