Donna M. Schachtner

With profound sadness, we announce the untimely passing of Donna Margaret Schachtner on March 16, 2025.

Donna is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Don and Alice Tirey. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Dean; sons, Justin (Jolene) and Ryan (Andrea); grandchildren, Emma, Lucas and Ethan; and sisters Peggy Holland (Tim) and Michelle Tirey.

Donna was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on June 3, 1960 and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Manzano High School in 1978.

High school is where she met the love of her life, Dean. They became inseparable and married on September 15, 1979. Together they enjoyed traveling and camping. She started her career in the banking industry and recently retired after 45 years. She found joy in solving word search and Sudoku puzzles, playing cards, and most importantly, spending quality time with her grandchildren.

Donna was a proud wife and mother. She was loving, kind and supportive to all who were fortunate to know her.

She will be deeply missed by everyone whose life she touched.

Memorial Services will be held at the Shrine of Saint Bernadette Church, 11401 Indian School Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM.

Rosary will be Monday, April 14, 2025, at 7:00 PM. Funeral will be Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM, interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
