Donna Carol Garcia, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026, at the age of 75. She was born on September 29, 1950, in East St. Louis, Illinois, to Carl and Billie Mae Fehr, both of whom preceded her in death along with her sister, Helen Albrecht; her former spouse, Carlos Garcia, Jr.; and her son, Carlos Garcia.

She is survived by her children, Frank Mathenia and Christopher Garcia; her siblings, Cathy Fehr, Carla Krausz, Karl Fehr, Jr., and Raymond Fehr; and her cherished grandchildren, Austin Mathenia, Summer-Muffins Garcia, Jude Garcia, and Xander Garcia. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

At her home in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Donna became the heart of the Garcia household. Her love for her family was unwavering, and nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time with her grandchildren. She took a genuine interest in their lives, always asking about their school days, celebrating their accomplishments, and making every effort to be present for life's important moments. Whether attending a choir concert, basketball game, or any school event that welcomed grandparents, Donna could always be found cheering proudly from the audience. Her warmth, kindness, and steadfast support made the Garcia home a place of comfort and love. Her grandchildren knew they could always count on Grandma's encouragement, wisdom, and affection, and they were blessed to have her as such an important part of their daily lives.

Donna's legacy lives on through the family she loved so deeply and the countless memories she created with them. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her devotion to those she loved, and the joy she brought to everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at French Funerals, 1275 Unser Blvd NE, Rio Rancho, NM 87144.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Sagebrush Church Enchanted Hills Campus, 7555 Enchanted Hills Blvd NE, Rio Rancho, NM 87144.
