Donna Burkholder

Donna Mae Burkholder, went into the arms of our lord and savior Jesus Christ on Friday May 31 st 2024 after a lengthy illness.

She is preceded in death by her husband Leon "Digger" Burkholder, sister Marie Hyatt, stepdaughter Leona Burkholder and beloved grandson Johnny Burkholder.

Donna married Leon on New Years Eve in 1980 and had an instant family. Along with a husband she now had stepchildren. She is survived by Paula Rodriguez (Joe), Jeanie Smith (Gary Sr.), Lori Sloane (Doug Sr.), Robert (Maria) and William Burkholder. She had many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Donna was a lifetime member of the New Mexico Dart Association. She also owned and operated a Dart shop, Donna's Darts for many years so many hearing the phrase "you could fly em before you buy em."

She enjoyed dinners and holidays with her family. The cookouts and get-togethers were always expected and never disappointed.

Visitation will be Thursday June 13th, 2024, from 6pm to 8pm at

French-University 1111 University Blvd NE. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday June 14th, 2024, at French-University at 10 am. Donna will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery following her service.
