Donald Dugger

Donald Lee Dugger, age 91, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2024, in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he has resided since 1967.


Don was born September 24, 1932, in Highland, Indiana. He graduated from Griffith High School prior to joining the United States Air Force. He was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada, during which time he met and married Lorna Jane Wadsworth. Don and Lorna were married on September 16, 1954, and later sealed in the St. George Utah Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 2003, Don retired from General Technology Corporation (GTC).


Don was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He served in various church callings, and especially enjoyed working with the scouts and young single adults. Don and Lorna were avid UNM Lobos basketball fans and enjoyed taking Lorna's parents on road trips. He loved seeing his family get together each year at El Vado Ranch. His hobbies included fishing, playing Rook, and collecting old radios. At Christmastime, Don enjoyed playing Santa at church and work events.


Don was preceded in death by his wife, Lorna Jane Wadsworth Dugger, and son, Don Jr. (Nickie) Dugger. He is survived by daughter, Diane (Mark) Coyne, sons Tom (Gina) Dugger and J.C. (Jackie) Dugger, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


A visitation will take place on Monday, March 11, 2024, from 5:00-7:00pm at French Funerals - Wyoming. A family memorial service will take place in Alamo, Nevada. Don will be laid to rest with his wife, Lorna, in the Alamo Cemetery.
