Donald Clark Conti, 90, was born on August 18, 1935 and called home on June 6, 2006. He is survived by his beloved wife Sandra, his daughter Tess Branch and her husband Doug, Danielle Branch and her son Jaden Branch, Tyler Branch and his wife Michelle, their children Jacob Branch and Madison Branch. Kristen Cook, Kelly Sierra and her husband Ryan, Carter Weska and his wife Robin and their daughter Mabel, Chandler Radzka and her partner Daniel Day and William Clem and his wife Susan. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Maria Conti, his brother John Conti and son Don Vitsentzos.

Donald spent 31 years in the armed forces and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He earned a National Defense Service Medal, a Good Conduct Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal, the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm/Meritorious and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.

During his time in the military, he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees. Upon retirement, he obtained his teaching certificate and taught special education for ten years in the public school system.

Beyond his professional life, Don was a dedicated family man who enjoyed hosting and cooking for his family and friends on special occasions and holidays. He was often told that he missed his calling and should have been a chef. Although his quick wit, expertly timed jokes, winsome smile and infectious laugh would have you believe comedian was more appropriate.

Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of kindness, wisdom and strength will forever guide the hearts of those who loved him. To know him is to love him.
