Dolores June Wiltgen, 83, mother, wife, nurse, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. Dolores, known to many as “Dee”, had a vibrant personality and was known to be at the center of various instances of mischief during her life. She had a long career as a nurse and worked at hospitals in Chicago where she grew up, then in California, Colorado, Oklahoma, and here in New Mexico.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Col. Joseph N. Wiltgen (retired); her children, Yvette Wiltgen, Brett Martinez, and Joseph C. Wiltgen; and her grandchildren, Michaella Murphy, Isaac Phillips, Brandon Wiltgen, Brittany Gabaldon, Brenten Wiltgen, Bryan Wiltgen and Brianna Wiltgen; great-grandchildren, Cooper Gabaldon, Parker Gabaldon and Lily Wiltgen. She is also survived by her brothers, Joseph Curtis, Edward Curtis, Robert Curtis, Michael Curtis and Anthony Curtis; and her sisters, Linda Schmidt, and Margo Rodriguez. She also leaves many cherished nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, son and daughters-in-law. Also touching her life in recent years were her sister-in-law, Mary Rivers and personal friend, Denice Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Martinez Curtis and June Curtis; and her sisters, Rosemary Neely and Patricia Curtis.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 18, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. with a memorial following at 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming.
