Dolores ("Dee") Ann Reule was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on January 30, 1922, to Joseph and Helen Stawarski. She grew up in a large family alongside her siblings Loretta Bakan, Audrey Randazzo, Theresa Kujawa, Mary Stawarski, and her brother Ernest Stawarski who survives her.
She is also survived by her son, Robert Reule, and his wife, Janice; her daughter, Lynn Reule; her grandson, Jesse Elich; her granddaughters, Andrea Reule and Erica Reule; her great grandchildren, Alexandra Stamatopoulos and Karissa Elich; as well as great-great grandchildren who brought her joy throughout her long life.
Growing up poor, there was a time she didn't have shoes for school. At just 12 years old, Dee began cleaning homes to help support her family, a responsibility that shaped the remarkable work ethic she carried throughout her life.
Over the decades, she built a diverse and accomplished career, holding positions with Western Union, Government Housing, Gulf Coast, Sandia Savings and Loan, Dallas Title Co, U.S. Life Title, and later working in real estate as a dedicated Realtor. In her later professional years, she served as Vice President of Reule Sun Corporation, working well into her early nineties before retiring.
A survivor of the Great Depression, Dee's resilience, resourcefulness, and deep sense of responsibility were hallmarks of her character. She was a loyal, lifelong, patriotic American who cherished her country and the common-sense values she practiced. Dee loved life and was a consummate supporter and nurturer to her family and to everyone fortunate enough to encounter her spirited presence.
Always ready for an adventure, she traveled the world as an accomplished snow skier, along with being an enthusiastic Hula dance instructor, belly dancer, ballroom dancer, and even participated in Taekwondo martial arts, proudly breaking a board during a test in her nineties.
Dee had an innate artistic ability and always had some sort of craft project in the works and ready for the kids. She found companionship with like-minded souls, spiritually, politically, and socially, and was always open to new and exciting experiences. There was no obstacle that stood in her way, as she pursued life to the fullest.
For over a century, Dee will be remembered for her grace, kindness, humor, intellect, work ethic, frugalness and for being the stalwart for her family and friends, who will deeply miss her.
