With profound sadness we announce the passing of Dolly Flowers, our loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all whose lives she touched. She passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on December 5, 2020. She lived a full life and touched many hearts along the way. She is survived by her loving husband Robert Flowers, son Jim Flowers and wife Laurel, daughter Kelly Flowers Labastida and husband Edgar, son Travis Flowers and wife Sonja, grandchildren Jonathan, Jessica, Carissa, Brady, Kori, Mati, Colton and Andrew great-grandson Oliver and many other family members.
Dolly entered this world on November 10, 1952 in Albuquerque, NM, born to James and Mae Johnson. She graduated from Valley High School class of 70. She went on to meet and marry her loving husband of 47 years Robert Flowers. She lived in the North Valley for most of her life where she raised her children and help raise her grandkids.
Dolly was a homemaker and care giver to her family and many kids over the years. She loved cooking, gardening, crafts, painting & spending time with family and friends. She loved making things with her husband as always, she was the designer, foreman and her husband was the labor. She was full of life & hospitality. She always sacrificed her own needs for the good of her family. She made everyone feel special, everyone who knew her or came to visit was always treated as family. She loved her grandkids more than anything and loved being a big part of each of their lives. She filled their hearts with love, happiness and within each of her kids, grandkids, great grandkid and fur baby she will live on.
Dolly will be remembered as a selfless and giving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, a loving strong determined and sassy person who if you knew her you loved her. Her heart was big, and she always loved to help others from volunteering at her grandkid’s schools, helping a friend with her preschool or sewing curtains for a horse show she was always welling to help.
We will miss her tremendously but will always have a reason to smile and a thank god he put you in our lives. Mom you are now at peace you have no more pain, no more suffering please watch over all of us and just so you know a big part of you went with you when you left us and until we all meet again, we will always love you to infinity and beyond forever and always will, don’t you ever forget that please. Thank you for everything mom! We will take care of dad and make you proud!
