Dianne R. Rivera

Dianne R. Rivera, age 57, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015 due to complications from Parkinson's disease and Progressive Supra Nuclear Palsy. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Valencia; son-in-law, Oscar Ramirez; her parents, Irene and Fermin Rivera; sister, Shirley and her husband Jose Villeagas who were her caretakers; brothers, Gilbert and Patrick Rivera; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. She dedicated her life to advocating for people with disabilities, as a special education teacher at Jornada Elementary School in Las Cruces, the executive director of Tresco TOTS, and the Deputy Cabinet Secretary for the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department. Rosary and celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Westside. Funeral mass will be held Friday, June 12, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at Saint Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd. In her memory, the family requests donations be made in the name of Dianne Rivera to the Cure PSP Foundation, .
