Dianne Dorn passed away on April 5th, leaving behind a family who loved her deeply and will miss her every day. She was born in California and over the years made homes in Nevada, Tennessee, Arizona, and New Mexico. No matter where she lived, she built connections and friendships that lasted, thanks to her warmth, her strong spirit, and that unmistakable smile people were drawn to right away.
Dianne was a nurse, graduating from Case Western Reserve University, and it was truly the right calling for her. She cared about people in a way that went beyond her job-she showed up, she listened, and she gave her time freely. Volunteering came naturally to her, and she was always ready to help wherever she was needed. She was also known for her feisty attitude in the best sense-strong-willed, full of life, and never afraid to speak her mind, but always grounded in kindness. People loved being around her because she made things feel lighter and more genuine.
At home, she carried on traditions from her own family. She was an excellent cook, and baker, just like her mother, and took pride in feeding the people she loved. She also enjoyed knitting, creating things by hand that reflected the care she put into everything she did. More than anything, Dianne was a mother and a grandmother.
The family will be planning a private memorial service for Dianne at a later date.
