Diane Tapia, 69, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on June 27, 2020.
She was born February 20, 1951, in Auburn, New York, the daughter of late Edward and Julia Larkin. She was the youngest of three siblings. On July 12, 1986 she married the late Frank Tapia. She graduated from University of New Mexico with a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration on May 13, 1984. She devoted most of her career to working as a Project Manager for New Mexico Department of Health in the Public Health Division. She retired March 1, 2014. Diane was a voracious reader and a lover of the arts. Her home was always filled with music. She loved animals and was a dog owner for most of her life.
She is survived by her son, Garrett Tapia of Seattle, WA; brother, Ed Larkin of Port Charlotte, FL; nephew, Jim Larkin of Albuquerque, NM; mother-in-law, Margie Tapia of Albuquerque, NM; sisters-in-law, Patsy Sanchez, Rita Ortiz, Freida Padilla, and Maria Tapia of Albuquerque, NM; brother-in-law, David Tapia of Albuquerque, NM; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held in her honor on Tuesday, July 7th, 2020, 5:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas.
