It is with profound sadness and much love that we mourn the passing of Dennis Asa Gabaldon, of Socorro, New Mexico on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at the age of 73 years old.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Brenda; and their five children, Austin Gabaldon (Brittany), Crystal Armstrong (Nik), Kelly Gabaldon (Josh), Nolan Gabaldon (Karissa), and Ashlin Gabaldon; grandchildren, Cooper and Parker Gabaldon, Nikolas and Carson Armstrong, Averly and Emerson Rede, and Bailee and Logan Gabaldon, and his three siblings.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Rogerio II and Jesucita (Jessie); brother, Steve; mother and father in-law, Vivian and Mary; and Godson, Noah.
Dennis grew up in Socorro, New Mexico with his parents and four siblings. Dennis moved to Albuquerque, where he attended the University of New Mexico, in pursuit of a biology degree. While attending school, he worked for Safeway, where he would later meet the love of his life, Brenda. They were married on Friday, September 10, 1982. Together, they raised their five children. Dennis started his own company in retail merchandising and worked tirelessly to take care of and provide for his family. Dennis deeply loved his family, and spending time outside. He was a big sports fan, and a lifelong fan of the Denver Broncos and LA Dodgers.
A Rosary will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, 11:00 a.m. and Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at Saint John XXIII Catholic Community, 4831 Tramway Ridge Drive NE. An interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE 87102. Pallbearers will be Austin Gabaldon, Nolan Gabaldon, Nik Armstrong, Josh Rede, Steve Gabaldon, and Aydin Davis. Honorary Pallbearers are Cooper Gabaldon, Parker Gabaldon, Logan Gabaldon, Nikolas Armstrong, Carson Armstrong, and Emerson Rede.
