In Loving Memory of Della Hall
Delfina Cuaron Hall "Della" passed away peacefully on September 26 at the age of 97. Della was born in San Antonio, NM to Damian Cuaron and Teresita Armijo Cuaron. The family later moved to Albuquerque where she graduated from Albuquerque High. After graduation she worked at a downtown western wear shop, where she met Sandy, a kind, handsome man who would become her husband and love of her life. She was devoted to him and to her family who meant everything to her. Together they built their home, brick by brick, where they raised their family and where she lived for seventy years.
Della and Sandy were both deeply active in the Catholic Church, and she supported his role as a Deacon. As a skilled organizer and worker, some of her proudest accomplishments were the creation of the first Rosary Rally in Albuquerque and the help that she and Sandy gave to build Father Flannagan's Jerusalem community in Belen, NM. Over the years she opened her home to those in need, and they became like an extended family to her and Sandy.
Della had an adventurous spirit, often accompanying her husband on deer hunting trips, sometimes hunting on horseback, or joining him on fishing trips in Alaska. She enjoyed traveling to destinations, especially Hawaii, Alaska, WA DC, Rome, Spain, Jerusalem, Vancouver BC as well as many U.S. states. She enjoyed telling stories of her experiences which she would begin with, "To make a long story short...".
Della was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gains Oliver Hall "Sandy" and her eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by her three daughters: Linda (Rosemary), Joanne, and Bernadette. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Crystal, Steve, Rachel and Kelsey and her great-grandchildren, who lovingly called her "nana banana." Della is fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends. The family is appreciative of the dedicated caregivers and Sisters from Our Lady of Guadalupe Home Health Care who lovingly cared for Della for the last two years of her life.
Her family and friends mourn her passing with sadness, but also with deep love and appreciation for a life well lived and the many hearts she touched. Friends and family are welcome to her services at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd NE, on Oct. 6, 2025. There will be a viewing at 10:00 AM, Rosary at 10:30, AM and Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband at a private interment.
