In loving memory of Delia C. Galvan.
Delia C. Galvan was born in 1933 and was called home on April 25, 2026, in Rio Rancho. Delia lived a life defined by intelligence, dedication, kindness, and quiet strength. She leaves behind a legacy that will continue through her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Delia spent her early years in McAllen, Las Cruces, Truth or Consequences, Albuquerque, and later in Rio Rancho. From an early age, it was clear that she possessed a remarkable mind and an extraordinary work ethic. A graduate with top honors from McAllen High School, she excelled academically to such a degree that she was once double-promoted, a reflection of her intelligence and determination.
At the young age of 18, Delia married the love of her life, Noe Galvan. Together they were blessed with four children: Norma, Irma, Noe Jr., and Jamie. She deeply loved her family and especially enjoyed hearing about the accomplishments of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nothing brought her greater pride than seeing her family grow and succeed.
Professionally, Delia dedicated many years working as a legal secretary. Her talents and professionalism quickly distinguished her, and her final position was with the State of New Mexico Veterans Service, where she served as a supervisor overseeing other secretaries. She was exceptional in every aspect of her work - organized, dependable, thorough, and deeply respected by those around her.
Delia approached every responsibility with accuracy, patience, and a willingness to help others succeed. She had a unique ability to create practical solutions that made the jobs of her coworkers easier and more efficient. Her supervisors consistently recognized her outstanding performance with high evaluations, but more importantly, she earned the admiration and gratitude of those who worked beside her.
Beyond her accomplishments, Delia will be remembered for the example she set - a woman of intelligence, dignity, humility, and unwavering devotion to her family. She showed through her life that excellence is not only found in achievements, but also in kindness, reliability, and the care we give to others every day.
Delia is survived by her daughters, Norma and Irma, and her son, Noe Jr. She was preceded in death by her son, Jamie Galvan, and her former husband, Noe Galvan.
Though she is no longer with us in person, Delia's memory will remain alive in the hearts of all who loved her. Her life was a blessing, her love a gift, and her memory a treasure that will never fade.
May Delia C. Galvan rest in eternal peace.
