With profound sadness and abiding love, we announce the passing of Debraha Marie Driggers on Thursday, November 6th, 2025.
Born on July 16th, 1952 in Norfolk, Nebraska, to Robert and Leone Jacobson (Potter), Debraha devoted her life to her family, her faith, and the well-being of those less fortunate. She was a treasured mother to her two sons, Cameron and Mitchell, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her unwavering love, support, and wisdom shaped their lives and the lives of all who knew her.
A woman of steadfast Christian faith, Debraha was guided by her love for Christ in all that she did. She was an active member of Metamorphi Church, finding comfort, strength, and purpose in her relationship with God. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life and her loving spirit shone with humility and grace.
Perhaps most inspiring was her tireless service to the homeless community. She believed deeply in the call to “love thy neighbor,” dedicating countless hours to volunteering, preparing meals, and offering compassion to those in need. Her acts of kindness brought warmth and hope to many, and her legacy of service continues in the lives she touched.
Debraha’s professional accomplishments were also a source of pride. She worked for 25 years as an accountant at the University of New Mexico, serving her workplace with integrity, skill, and dedication. Her hard work and perseverance were evident in her pursuit of education—she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and went on to achieve a master’s degree in public administration. Throughout her career and studies, Debraha inspired others by her commitment to growth and excellence.
Beyond her devotion to faith, service, and career, Debraha found great joy in her many hobbies. She loved nurturing her garden, delighting in its peace and beauty. Her creativity and patience were beautifully expressed through crocheting and beading, crafts she used to brighten loved ones’ lives with handmade gifts. Debraha embraced the beauty of communication by practicing sign language, always eager to connect meaningfully with others. She cherished hearty meals shared with friends and family, believing togetherness was best enjoyed at the table. Her faithful companion, Chia, brought her endless comfort and happiness, and their bond was truly special.
Debraha is survived by her beloved sons, Cameron Driggers and wife Naomi Driggers of Albuquerque, NM and Mitchell Driggers of Bosque Farms, NM, as well as her sisters, Rebecka, Cindy, and Robyn, and her brother Chris. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert; mother, Leone; sister, Kathy; and stepfather, Albert. Her life was a living testimony of faith, family, and charity, and she will be remembered for her generous heart, strength of spirit, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
A celebration of her life and faith will be held at Metamorphi Church on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025 at 11:00am. All who knew her are welcome to attend, share memories, and honor her legacy. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Albuquerque Opportunity Center, Heading Home, Albuquerque Christian Children's Home, Heart2Heart, and Metamorphi Church, continuing her mission of caring for others.
Her love endures in the hearts of her family, as her legacy of faith, compassion, and service will never be forgotten.
