Debra (Debbie) Anne Rodriguez

Debra (Debbie) Anne Rodriguez, 65, was many things - Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mom, Grandma, and a loving friend to countless others - died peacefully on December 11, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Debbie was born on October 18, 1960, in Cumberland, Maryland. She grew up in St. Albans, West Virginia, the second of seven in a close-knit family, before moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1978.

For 28 years, Debbie devoted her life to teaching children where she shaped generations of young minds with patience, kindness, and a gift for making every child feel seen and valued.

Above all, Debbie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She shared 42 loving years of marriage with her husband, David, and was the heartbeat of her family.

Debbie is survived by her spouse, David; children, Kevin, Ryan and wife, Jenae; grandchildren, Aria, and Jackson; mother; Shirley Lowther; siblings, Mark Lowther, Tim Lowther, Cathy Lowther, Brenda Pohl, Connie Hagengruber, and Dan Lowther among many nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father; Jerry Lowther.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Saint John XXIII Catholic Community, 4831 Tramway Ridge Dr NE in Albuquerque, New Mexico.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
