Deborah Jones

June 14, 1951 — March 26, 2024

Deborah "Debbie" Jean Jones passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at the age of 72, after bravely battling cancer for eight years. Debbie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She radiated love and beauty, both inside and out, and her presence brought joy to all who knew her.

Throughout her life, Debbie devoted herself to caring for children, running "Debbie's Daycare" for over three decades alongside her husband, Charlie Jones. Her commitment to childcare was recognized in 2009 when Governor Bill Richardson honored her for her dedication and service to children.

In 2016, Debbie retired from daycare after being diagnosed with cancer. Despite her own health challenges, she selflessly cared for her husband, Charlie, during his illness until his passing in January 2022. Debbie's unwavering love and compassion touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She was an angel among us.

Debbie is survived by her daughters, Michelle Lujan and Tiffany Kilfoy; her cherished grandchildren, Austin Jensen, Ricardo Lujan and his wife Kristen, and Armando Lujan; her brothers, Talmadge Rogers and Tony Rogers, and their respective spouses, Bert and Angie; as well as her nephews, Danny Rogers and Terry Rogers. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A Crypt-side Service to celebrate Debbie's life will be held at noon on April 12, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque.

May Debbie rest in eternal peace, held gently in God's loving hands.
