David Paiz, age 70, a loving grandfather, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026.

David was best known for his ability to fix almost anything, his gift as a storyteller, and his delectable homemade crepes, donuts, and beef jerky. He loved classic cars and trucks, tinkering, working with his tractor, welding, watching football (Green Bay Packers), and fishing with his children and grandson. With David's ability to sing, he could capture the essence of famous artists such as Elvis Presley, Whitney Houston, Roy Orbison, and several New Mexico Artists.

Despite the challenges David faced, he always worked hard so that he could provide for his family.

David is survived by his wife, Jeanette; son, Santiago and wife, Yarelly; daughter, Sophia and husband, Jerome; and his loving grandson, Levi. Also surviving David are his loving siblings and extended family.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Albino and Flora Paiz; two brothers, and several in-laws.

A Rosary will be prayed on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., with a memorial service and reception immediately following at French Funerals and Cremations - Westside Chapel.

A graveside service will be held at 2:45 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM.

The surviving family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the entire staff at Aldea House for their care of David in his final days.
