David Johnson

It is with heavy hearts and much love the family announces the passing of David A. Johnson on Sunday January 10th, 2021 at the age of 62 in Albuquerque, NM. He moved to New Mexico from Chicago, Il with his parents and siblings in 1970. He was a guitarist and singer with various country bands for many years before deciding to change careers, working for a screen and glass company until he retired in 2018. He loved classic country music and was an avid Nascar fan. He was preceded in death by his father, Oury L. Johnson and his mother, Leola V. Johnson, both of Albuquerque. He is survived by sister, Debra Goolsby and her husband, Randy; sister, Connie Johnson, all of Albuquerque; brother James Johnson and his wife, Barbara, of Alamogordo; niece, Lisa Quinn and her two sons, Warrick and Maddox; nephew, Jeff McKenzie; nephew, Scott Goolsby and his wife, Veronica and their three children, Isa, Jackson, and Sebastian; all of Albuquerque.
