David Louis Brown

David Louis Brown, Jr. born in Philadelphia, PA on December 26, 1925 passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023. He graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1943. David Joined the Navy, and is an Iwo Jima Purple Heart Veteran. After the war, he was a machinist with the Santa Fe Railroad. David played baseball for the Railroad team traveling on trains throughout the country for games.

His wife, Ruth predeceased David. They were married for 60 years. David retired from Sandia Labs as a computer programmer. David and Ruth traveled throughout the US, Mexico, and Canada in their Motorhome. They were members of the Thunderbird Travel Trailer Club. David also belonged to the Siglo De Oro RV Club, Triple L Group, Jefferson Connection at Hoffmantown Church. He volunteered at the North Valley Senior Center preparing tax returns.

His son-in-law, Bruce also predeceased David. David is survived by his children, Evelyn and Steve (Anne); grandson, Andrew (Jessica); and great-granddaughter, Carolina.

Private services have taken place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
