Darrell Loftis

Darrell D. Loftis was a loving husband, cherished father and beloved Papa. Darrell, 67 died unexpected on January 28, 2024 at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Darrell was born on June 29, 1956 in Carlsbad, NM to Leo and Emma Loftis. Darrell was survived by his wife Johanna, his two children James and Kristalyn (husband Ryan) and six grandsons; Bradley, Landon, Lucas, Deegan, Cole, Gage. His sisters Liz (Eddie and family), Jonell and family.

In 1981 Darrell married his high school sweetheart and best friend, Johanna. Together they built a family and a life filled with love and laughter. Darrell was a devoted father to JD and Kristal. His love for his Grandsons was evident in his interactions with all the boys. He was a fun, dedicated and awesome Papa.

Darrell was an avid outdoorsman and could often be found hunting, fishing and camping with his family. He enjoyed reading his Bible, taking walks with his grandsons and playing ball on the roof. He frequently watched his grandson's sports games and never missed the opportunity to spend time with them.

Darrell will be remembered as a loving husband, devote father, awesome Papa, good brother and friend.

His love, wisdom and jokes he brought to every gathering will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Darrell wanted everyone to have the opportunity to be saved and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Below is a prayer that one can pray to do this:

Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ, Your Son, died for my sins and was raised from the dead. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite Jesus to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow Him as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

Remember, it's not the words of the prayer that save you, but your faith in Jesus Christ.
