Danney Brown

Danney Zane Brown, a devoted father, loving brother, and talented developer, passed away on July 10, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on August 15, 1946, in Harrison, Arkansas, Danney lived a vibrant life marked by many passions, including his love for golf and an unwavering loyalty to the Dallas Cowboys. Known for his jovial spirit, he cherished breakfast at Garcia's, where he often shared laughs and stories with friends and family.

Danney's life was full of adventures, from joining the United States Army after high school, to building a successful career in real estate development in partnership with his father and brothers. He earned his pilot's license, a feat that lead to surviving a minor plane crash, which coincidentally was his first, and last, solo flight. At the age of 50, he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, but didn't let the diagnosis keep him from living a full life.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter and is remembered fondly by his children, Tim and his wife Karen, Dave, Jim and his wife Angela and Danielle and her husband Brandon. Danney is also survived by his beloved brother Lane Brown and his wife Rietta, and brother Rodger Brown and his wife Cathy. His family continued to grow with 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

Danney's memorial service is planned for 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at French Funeral Home, 10500 Lomas Blvd. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park. His family invites friends and loved ones to join in celebrating his life and the countless memories he created.

Danney was preceded in death by his parents, Audie and Walsie Mae Brown.
