Daniel M. Lyman, formerly of Watertown and Potsdam, NY, died on March 27, 2018 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He had been under the care of Canyon Transitional Rehabilitation Center and Heartland Hospice.
Dan, the son of Frederick and Phyllis Lyman, was born in Watertown on November 29, 1963. He was educated in schools in Watertown, Potsdam and British Columbia. Following graduation from Jefferson Community College, he completed a Bachelor’s Degree at SUNY Potsdam. He continued his education at Liverpool Hope University College, Liverpool, United Kingdom, completing a Master’s Degree in History.
Dan resided for many years in Liverpool and London, England. He worked in the restaurant industry there and in the United States. While in England, Dan had the opportunity to practice his love of acting.
Dan is survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as several brothers and their spouses: brother Frank and wife Judy (Annapolis, MD), sister-in-law Kathleen (Albany, NY), brother Timothy and wife Marcia (Rochester, NY), brother Philip (Syracuse, NY), sister-in-law Theresa Capone Lyman(Baldwinsville, NY), brother Stephen and wife Ann (Schenectady, NY), brother Christopher and wife Deborah (Woodbridge, VA), and brother Jerome and wife Carol (Chicago, IL). He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Nicholas.
A private burial will be held at North Watertown Cemetery, Watertown.
