Daniel Adolph Jarner (Dan) passed peacefully April 9, 2024, in Albuquerque. Born October 22, 1932 to Dorothea Keever and Adolph Jarner in Dawson, Minnesota, where he lived most of his life until joining the Army at a young age. Dan served his country for 32 years as a Chief Warrant Officer (CW04).
Dan married his sweetheart, Melrose Warner on June 30, 1951. They celebrated their 60th anniversary June 30, 2011. Melrose passed one month later.
Dan was one of seven children. He is survived by his youngest sister, Marla Carroll. Dan was blessed and survived by his five children, Tricia (Tony, deceased) Bartolotta, Mark (Lorie) Jarner, Donna (Charles) Guiswite, Ann (Stephen) Anderson, and David (Michael) Jarner-Beck.       Dan served twice in Korea and Vietnam. Dan and Melrose lived in many states and two countries with their children during his service. During the years Dan was deployed to Korea and Vietnam, Melrose and the children moved back to their hometown, Dawson Minnesota to await Dan’s return. After retirement, Dan and Melrose moved to Albuquerque where they lived for 33 years. They spent many years traveling and enjoying their RV.
Dan had a very strong Christian faith loving the Lord with all his heart. He was a member of the Faith in Christ Lutheran Church in Albuquerque for over 30 years.
