Dale Allyn Mochko

Dale Allyn Mochko peacefully departed on February 17, 2026. A beloved husband, father and grandfather, he was 77 years old. Born on October 2, 1948 in Cleveland Ohio, he graduated from the University of Toledo in 1970 and entered the Air Force in 1971. A position with the NM Air National Guard brought him to Albuquerque where he continued his flying career until his retirement in 1999.

Dale loved to travel and enjoyed sharing the game of golf with friends. He also ran the Janet Vargas Memorial Fund for over 30 years; a charity dedicated to assisting children with cancer and their families. One big event every year was the Christmas Party held at Peter Piper Pizza.

Dale is survived by his wife, Jane, children: Trisha, Lindsay and Jeffrey; grandchildren: Tim, Alexis, Evan and Douglas. As they privately celebrate his life, the family is honoring his wishes to have no formal funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dale's name to UNM Children's Hospital or the Wounded Warriors Project.
