Cynthia A. Skasik

January 20, 1948 - March 25, 2026

Cynthia A. Skasik was born on January 20, 1948, in New Home, Texas, to Jay and Aubrey Faye Gossett.

She passed peacefully, preceded in death by both parents; her husband, Gregory Skasik, and her son, Jimmy Adams.

A strong, outspoken, and spirited woman, Ann lived life on her own terms for over 50 years in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She built a life centered around family, friendship, and independence. Known for her fiery personality, honesty, and deep loyalty, she touched everyone she met.

Ann had a great love for outdoors, especially fishing and boating - and found simple joy in playing bingo and connecting with others. She shared 42 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Gregory Skasik, whom she married on December 18. Together they created a home full of laughter and love.

She is survived by her son, Jody Adams; her daughter-in-law, Katrina Adams; her cherished grandchildren, Jackson and Samantha Adams; and a close circle of friends she considered family.

Ann will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her courage, her laughter, and the love she gave.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH - Westside Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE Albuquerque, NM 87107. Cynthia will be placed to rest beside her husband, Gregory Skasik.
