Curtis Morris

Curtis Duane Morris passed away peacefully on January 12, 2024. He was surrounded by his three children and 2 of his grandsons. He was 92 years old. He was born in Dimmit, Texas on October 7, 1931.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lois Irene (Walkemeyer) Morris; his parents, Curtis and Lucy Mae (McCoy) Morris; two of his younger brothers, Michael Morris and Richard Morris; and his granddaughter, Dawn Rene Morris.

He is survived by his three children, Kenneth Duane Morris, Doris Lynne (Morris) Goode, and Kristina Irene Morris; his grandsons, Sean Morris and wife, Chelsea, Brandon Morris, Christopher Morris, and Gabriel Morris; his two great-granddaughters Alayna Duran and Zoi Morris; his brother Douglas Morris, and his sisters Ada Mae (Morris) Whitaker, and Darlene (Morris) Fields.

While Curtis was growing up, he lived in many places. He was an army veteran and served in the Korean War. After his time in the army, he became a mechanic and worked for the government until his retirement. He married the love of his life on May 28, 1956. They raised three children in Albuquerque, NM. He was living in an assisted living facility at the time of his death.

Services will be on January 27 @ 10:00 am at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Los Lunas, NM.
