Cristina Sandoval

Cristina M. Sandoval, wife, mother, and Lola (grandmother) was called to eternal rest on October 16, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.

Cristina (Cris) was born on August 2, 1954, in Maasin, Southern Leyte, Philippines, and was the beloved daughter of Gabriel and Antonina Maco. Cris lived a beautiful life in Jemez Springs, NM where she enjoyed the outdoors and time with her grandchildren in the river. She was a devoted member of the Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Gilbert Jr.; her son, Gilbert III, and his wife, Christina; her daughter, Bernardita; her cherished grandchildren, Mackenzie and Gilbert IV; and father-in-law Gilbert Sr. She is also survived by her extended family: Lily, Everlita (Joseph), Ding Ding, Wenceslina, Bonifacio, Juanita (Michael), Camilla (Patrick), and Monica (Christopher). She leaves behind her beloved godchildren-Amelia, Timothy, and Wayne-as well as many dear nieces and nephews who will miss her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gabriel and Antonina; her mother-in-law, Genevieve; her grandparents, Moises and Maria; her brothers, Olegario and Gabriel; her sisters, Josefina and Esther; and her brother-in-law, Tony. A Rosary will be held on Tuesday November 4, 2025 at 6:00 PM at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Jemez Springs. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Church Madonna Hall on November 5, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Rite of Committal and burial will follow. Serving as pallbearers are her brothers-in-law, Christopher and Patrick; her brothers of the heart, Tony and Willie; and her beloved nephews, Michael and Wayne. Honorary pallbearers include her nephews Andrew, Marcus, Colton, and Wyatt.
