Cora Mae Harris

Cora Mae Harris (Sprunger), 91, passed away August 19, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy D.; baby daughter, Theresa; brother, Eddie Sprunger; and parents, Jack and Carmen Sprunger. She will be deeply missed by her son, Mike (Cass) Harris; daughters, Brenda (Richard) Rodarte and Dolores Huston; sisters, Phyllis Harnetiaux and Betty Jean Duran; and 7 grandchildren, Brian Harris, Pat Harris, Daniel (Ivonne) Harris, Ric (Jess) Rodarte, Tracy (Jason) Mechenbier, Christina and Kaylee Huston. She was also blessed with 12 great-grandchildren, Jack, Harper, Rory, and Rocky Mechenbier, along with Henry and Natalie Rodarte, and Michael, Gabriel, Ellie, Avery, Alexa, and Addison Harris. She also leaves behind multiple nieces and nephews that she held close to her heart.

Cora was a stay-at-home mom, devoted wife and mother. She loved raising her kids, and once her children were grown, she quickly opened her arms to anyone that needed a babysitter. She was like a mini pre-school teacher teaching them how to count, ABC's, nursery rhymes, cooking, and how to experience life. She was a teacher at heart. She loved her neighbors and made lifelong friends who were always a knock away.

Cora covered all her roles well. Wife, mom, grandma, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. She was an excellent seamstress, gardener, and homemaker. She always had food in the house for anyone that came over. Bean, potatoes, and chili were a constant staple. More than anything she was a child of God who loved Jesus and walked the walk. She strived every day to walk the path Jesus had for her, and she was a mom that prayed whole heartedly. Well done, good and faithful servant! Missed but never forgotten! See you soon!

Pending services, a Celebration of Life service for family and friends will take place in the future when family and friends are able to gather together.
