Connie Marie Patterson

On Saturday, April 8, 2023, Connie Marie Patterson went to be with Jesus Christ her Savior, at the age of 84.

Born to Luella and Murray Rogers in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in 1938. Connie graduated from Edmond High School and married her late husband, George Harvey Patterson in 1955. Together they raised two beloved children and lived in Amarillo, Texas, Carlsbad, New Mexico, El Paso, Texas, and Albuquerque, New Mexico, where they resided since 1964.

Connie was a dedicated member of Del Norte Baptist Church, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She taught Sunday School for over 40 years, participated in yearly Vacation Bible Schools, and Bible Study Fellowship. She always said her main purpose in life was to teach children God's Word. Her favorite Bible verse was Proverbs 3:5, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding." One of her greatest joys in life was caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Connie had many dear friends and neighbors, whom she cherished. One particular group of friends she played bridge with for over 40 years. Everyone enjoyed her cooking and baking, especially her famous cinnamon rolls.

Connie was preceded in death by her brother, Dorman Rogers; and sisters, Dee Purvis, Shirley Bryan, and Carol McElyea. She is survived by her brother, Jim Rogers; sister, Liz Paschal; daughter, Gina Lonz and husband, Tom; son, Toss Patterson and wife, Julia; grandchildren, Michelle Boady and husband, Mike, Tim Lonz and wife, Karissa, Tayler Patterson and husband, Andrew Mickelson, and Sarah Patterson and fiancé, Jay T Anderson; and her five great-grandchildren, Ethan, Avery, and Landon Boady and Harvey and Theodore Lonz.

A special thanks to Connie's exceptional neighbors and friends for going above and beyond to care for her, especially in the last few years.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming. A Service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, 10:00 a.m., at Del Norte Baptist Church, 5800 Montgomery Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
