Cidelia Martinez

Cidelia Martinez of Albuquerque, NM passed away on September 7, 2024 to join our Lord Jesus and her loving husband Gerard. Cidelia was born June 15, 1937 to Damian and Rosina Garcia in Santa Fe, NM. She was later adopted by Patricio and Hipolita Lujan of Nambe, NM.

She is survived by her children, Paul P. Martinez (LeAnne) of Atascadero, CA, Gerard "Punchy" Martinez and Anna Marie Martinez of Albuquerque, grandchildren Patrick Martinez (Lindsay), Alicia Wilson, Gregory Martinez (Alice), Michelle Alguire, Jessica Famiglietta, and 10 great grandchildren; brothers Manuel Carrillo of Chelan, WA and Brian Salazar of Cerro, NM; sisters Cecilia Roybal of Santa Fe, NM, Suzanne Virgen (Raul) of Aurora, IL and Darlene Portillo (Chuy) of Oswego, IL; and close first cousins Ramon Lujan of Nambe, NM and Sostella McGaw (John) of Las Cruces, NM.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brothers Ramon Garcia, Flavio Garcia, Carlos (Tony) Ortiz; and sisters Miranda Valdez and Rojin Rollins.

Rosary will be held at 6:00 PM, Monday, October 14, 2024 with a funeral mass on Tuesday, October 15 at 10:00 AM at Sagrado Corazon de Jesus Catholic Church on NM highway 503 in Nambe, NM. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
