My mom was born on 7/26/1953 in Korea to Choi, Changik & Paek, Silda (Grandfather's name & Grandmother's name). She loved sports and excelled in learning. In 1981, she immigrated to the U.S. with technical skills to work at a Korean newspaper company in New York and California, which after working for nearly 40 years, she retired in 2020.

She enjoyed serving at church by cooking and decorating for events with balloons and fruit art. She raised me to love God and love others. She has now finished her race and is done with all labor. She is resting in the presence of God in heaven.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandy, and her husband, Stephen Rock, with their daughters, Tiara, Tianna, and Savannah. The rest of her family reside in Korea. They are Choi, Byungchul and his wife, Go, Bokhee, and their children: Choi, Yongsu, Choi, Eunsook, & Choi, Junghee; Choi, Byungkyu, and his wife, Shin, Wansook, and their children: Choi, Yongsuk & Choi, Yonghan; Choi, Byunghak, and his wife, Nam, Kysun, and their children: Choi, Moonjung, and Choi, Wooyoung.
