Christiane Pfeffer

Christiane Antoinette Pfeffer, age 96, passed away peacefully on Friday June 7, 2024, at her home at Bear Canyon Rehabilitation Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  

Christiane was born on May 7, 1928, in Le Meix St. Epoing, Marne, France.  Her Maiden name was Christiane Desbrosses.  

She Married Mel Pfeffer on October 1, 1955, in Orleans, Loriet, France and they then moved to the United States on November 5, 1955.   They lived in Wisconsin for a while where her husband Mel’s family lived.  Then moved to Denver, and eventually made their way to Albuquerque, NM. Christiane has done many jobs over her many years.  She was a waitress and also a Nanny.  In the restaurant world she was known as “Frenchy”.  

Christiane was a firecracker to say the least.  She was spunky and full of life right up until she passed.  She had amazing memories and so many stories that she shared about her family and friends from France and here in Albuquerque.  She will be missed by so many.  

Her ashes will be spread in the flower garden at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque.  She was a very talented and avid gardener and kept the most beautiful yards and flower gardens.  This is exactly where she would want to be. Christiane is a Christian and is no longer in any pain and in heaven with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
