Charles J. Martin, 92, passed away at his residence on June 27, 2017. A WWII veteran and retired APD Lieutenant, Charles also excelled at creating fine custom furniture for friends and family throughout the years. He was a gifted artist in drawing and carving, and even published two books of Christian poetry.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; infant daughter, Judy; and stepson, Richard (Anna) Castell. He is survived by his children, Rodney (Judy), Trudy, and Kathleen (Brian); and his stepchildren, Jeanne (Harold d.) Bailey, James (Julie) Castell, Robert (Alice) Castell, and John (Becka) Castell; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, July 3, 2017, between 6:00-8:00 p.m., at FRENCH – University. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH- University. Interment will immediately follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. A reception will be held at the FRENCH -University following the interment.
