Charles Brown

Charles "Obie" Brown, age 70, passed away on May 27, 2025, following a long, hard fought battle. Charlie was a lifelong resident of New Mexico. Charlie "Obie" was best known as a very knowledgeable insurance agent. His family started Charlie Brown Insurance which later sold to Western Assurance where he worked an additional 22 years. In his younger years Charlie could be found on the golf course most weekends. On vacations he would often go to Las Vegas to enjoy playing cards. Charlie loved his Sigma Chi family from Eastern New Mexico University. Most of his inner circle was lifelong brothers and sisters he met while attending Eastern New Mexico University. An informal celebration of life and toast will be held on June 20, 2025 from 5:00-9:00 pm at Tanoan Country Club.
