Charles A. Brink Jr.

Charles A. Brink Jr., a beloved husband, brother-in-law, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the age of 80. Born on October 3, 1945, in Las Cruces, NM, Chuck lived a vibrant life filled with passion, joy, and a remarkable spirit that touched the lives of everyone around him. In 1974, he married the love of his life, Janey (Dunlop) Brink and they spent 50 wonderful years together.

Chuck spent his entire career at IBM corporation and was a dedicated Senior Sales Executive, involved with educational support to school systems. Over the years they were based in numerous locations across Texas before finally settling in Albuquerque. His career allowed for he and Janey to travel and enjoy their life together. He was a true roadrunner and his passion for running and cycling was well-known. Chuck found joy in the rhythm of his footsteps on the trails and the wind on his face while running or cycling, embodying the active lifestyle that brought him so much happiness. He entered many marathons over the years and finished high in a great majority of them. Their many travels were also filled with excitement, allowing them to explore the country and world while cherishing the warmth of home in both New Mexico and Hawaii.

Chuck's love for New Mexico and Albuquerque was evident in his enthusiasm for the annual Balloon Fiesta where they both created countless memorable moments together with friends and family. Over the years they hosted many gatherings, holidays and celebrations for their friends, families and coworkers. Their home was always a haven of laughter and peace; where lasting friendships were nurtured and enjoyed together.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents: Charles Brink Sr., and Ruth Brink (Black). He is survived by his beloved spouse, Janey Brink, his brothers-in-law, Leslie Dunlop and John Dunlop II, sister-in-law, Terry A Lubenkov, all their nieces and nephews, many extended Brink, Dunlop, and Black family members; all who will carry his memory forward with love.

Chuck's life was characterized by adventure, joy, and an unwavering love for his family and friends. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. You can always remember him at Albuquerque's Little Cloud Park, named after one of his many four legged friends.

A celebration of Chuck's life will take place on October 1, 2026, at 11:00 am. Family and friends are invited to join in his Hawiian themed remembrance in the reception hall at FRENCH- Wyoming.
